30.08.2004 Deutsche Welle orders 54 Intellimix

National broadcaster Deutsche Welle decided for Intellimix to become inhouse standard and ordered 54 Intellimix. The ultra-compact mixer/router fits perfectely to DW needs and will be implemented in editing suites.

Deutsche Welle provides latest workspace technology to journalists from all over the world. ARCO, Intellimix and VIP/digital are main hardware components in use with Dalet software. Only athletes taking part in the Olympic Games in Athens 2004 will find more inspiring working conditions at the moment.

Deutsche Welle is Germany's international broadcaster, i.e. DW has the legal mission to convey a comprehensive picture of life in Germany and to present and describe the German positions on important issues. Deutsche Welle fulfils this mission with the programmes of DW-RADIO in 30 languages – German and English round the clock, DW-TV in German, English and Spanish as well as programme slots and services in other languages. The multinational team comprises of roughly 1,500 employees from more than 60 countries.

Deutsche Welle has been headquartered in Bonn since June 2003; DW-RADIO is produced in the new Broadcasting Centre located in the Federal Quarter. Here DW also runs the DW-ACADEMY including the Training Centre for radio, where Deutsche Welle is training broadcasting professionals from developing countries and Eastern Europe.
