Unlike competitive products with added capsules or recorders, iXM overcomes the imbalances in microphone and recorder performance by creating a truly integrated, simple and top performing product.
iXm delivers perfect sound for reporting.
Microphone heads have been optimized for high speech intelligibility and low handling noise sensitivity made by German specialist Beyerdynamic. The heads are exchangeable to suit varying recording environments.
Omnidirectional, cardioid and supercardioid pick up patterns will be available. Capsules are automatically detected for automatic gain and DSP adaption. iXm utilizes an intelligent levelling algorithm, enabling the reporter to fully concentrate on the interview. Files are stored on an exchangeable SD memory card as WAV, BWF or MP2. MP3 is to come.
iXm is easy to use.
Yellowtec, known for making products simple and smart, has come up with a recording section you cannot make simpler or smarter. It comes with just two buttons and three indicators.
The handy position of record and stop button enables thumb-on operation that is as simple as operating a car’s accelerator and break. Markers can be set during the interview by pressing the record button again. Best of all, the button will operate virtually noiselessly! Status information for record, memory and battery will be clearly visualized by three bright indicators, above the reporter’s thumb on the record button.
iXm has the stamina of a marathon runner.
Its memory is virtually unlimited utilizing standard SD memory cards. The other major limitation is overcome by iXm's unique dual power layout with intelligent power management. It uses either 3 x AA batteries or a built in rechargeable Li-Ion battery or both!
iXM comes with all essential interfaces.
A headphone output provides quick monitoring. Track IDs will be announced by an integrated voice messaging system. The user can navigate through recordings on the separate playback section on the back. The line input will be useful at press conferences when the modulation is obtained from a mic splitter. The mini USB port can be used for accessing audio files from a PC, to recharge the Li-Ion accumulator battery or to configure iXm.
When will iXM be available?
